18 December 2011 departed from KLIA at 10pm Malaysia time and arrived at Bangalore at 11:30pm India time. This is my first time travel to India Bangalore. The night was cold. The facilities of Bangalore airport is better I had during my trips to New Delhi.
The driver C. Venkatesh was waiting outside airport. Everything was fine. We proceed to hotel - Le Meridien. The hotel is average and comfortable to stay. As usual, all kind of securities checking practices everywhere at India and it applies to hotel too.
19 December 2011, another driver Binu George picked me at hotel at 8:30am India time. Arrive at office BLR Manyata Embassy about 9am. The office had some basic security procedures applied. Apply guest tag, declare notebook and etc at the reception of the office. The manager, Afza was waiting me at the lobby of the office. Everything were proceed smoothly. As advice by Steven, I need to leave office at 5pm India time otherwise I will stuck in the traffic jam. To avoid traffic jam, I followed Steven's advice.
I met all the team members who are going to be our support: Debdip, Rajiv, Narayana, Divya, Kishore, Sharan and John (also known as Peter S). Everyone seems nervous. We had went through introduction and the knowledge transfer itinerary I had prepared for the next 2 weeks roughly. There were a lot of questions and answers happened in the first week. Everyone was trying their best to absorb all the materials shared by my peers: Bryan and David and me.
The lunch at office is reasonable cheap. The food price range from Rs 30 to Rs 60. My favorite snack in India: Lays Potatoes Chip cost me Rs 10 to Rs 15. Beverage price range from Rs 15 to Rs 30. It is very affordable. Dinner at hotel is pricey. The price can be range from Rs 100 to Rs 1,500. It is safer to have food at hotel to avoid food poisoning.
Afza arranged transport for me to visit Bangalore during weekend. I requested to have a trip at Commercial Street on Saturday (24 December 2011). It was a good experience in the street shopping. I managed to buy stainless steel housewares at a very reasonable price and good quality. Besides that, I bought some souvenirs for closed friends. I bought some sweets for coursemates: Jameel and Saravanan which requested by them. It's costly for the sweets which out of my expectation. After the trip at Commercial Street and I packed some food and enjoy my lunch at hotel.
Sunday (25 December 2011) I stayed at hotel to take more rest and need sometime to do my revision of my MBA study.
